Entrepreneurship Chronicles | This Time Next Year

They say what you think you become but I believe it derives from what is spoken first for what we say about ourselves and our lives are the seeds we plant on earth that end up habiting through, which in the end manifests as our reality.

A couple of weeks ago I went to visit my cousin and her family, we were in the family room watching movies and programs then her husband suggested we watch a program called “This Time Next Year, a UK show on ITV, hosted by Davina McCall. The program is very impressive and perplexing for in one sitting we go from the previous year to the current year. What I mean is you start of with a guest of the show saying for instance that this time next year they will lose X amount of weight and after stating why this is there cause they then go through a door and in the same show emerge out from another door a year later having lost the weight they had previously proclaimed they would lose.

After watching the show, I was left in awe and in wonder. However, what really struck a chord is how important it is to declare what is of your end result and doing it publicly also makes you conscious of the fact that you must be a vision of success than failure. Also by declaring how their ending will look like, helped set precedence for what the beginning and during needed to consist of, i.e. what needs to be done and is of prime focus in order to accomplish that which has been declared will be of their reality.

Success comes first from deciding and then second from committing to it. Take this shows ethics and apply to what 2017 needs to look like for you. Don’t let another year go by losing on yourself. Win for you, commit to being a better version of you and work on silencing the critics. I have applied the ethics of the show and I have written down four main things I am and will have a year after my declaration. I look through this daily or several times in the week. I then shared it with a minute number of people who I trust, know will be supportive of my vision and will also hold me accountable.

Always remember that your world will be built by your word.
